Tired of staring at a blank page hoping the right resume words will come to you?
I'll walk you through how to create your resume in less time than it takes to binge watch the latest Netflix season of your favorite show.
How many interviews did you have last week?
How many jobs did you apply to?
If you aren't getting interviews on at least 10% of the jobs you're applying for, then there's a problem.
It might be:
Your resume isn't highlighting your story well.
You are applying for jobs that you aren't qualified for.
You're applying to the wrong jobs at the wrong time in the wrong way.
You aren't networking and using employee referrals to your advantage
While this might seem like it's a lot to overcome, I can help you.
(Not sure what your percentage is? I recommend to start tracking your job applications and interviews. Pen and paper. Spreadsheet. Online tool. Any of them work. Does not need to be fancy, just needs to be written down.)
While the resume won't do all the work of getting you an interview, it's a basic requirement and something that you need to have correct. A good resume will open doors, and a poorly written one will have you wondering why you got another rejection email.
Here's some common issues that you might be facing with your resume:
Formatted in a way that the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) can't read it.
Does not include the information in a layout that the recruiter is wanting to see, so it's hard for them to easily skim, so they just skip over it.
Talks too much about WHAT you did and not enough about the IMPACT you had.
Using one resume for every job application.
It's too long (more than two pages) but you don't know how to cut it down
Not clearly focused on the job you want, instead focuses too much on the jobs you used to have
In the 5 Hour Resume course, I will walk you through, step by step, how to solve each of these issues. I share my screen, talk you through the WHY, and then get tactical and show you HOW to do it, and we then do it together. You'll see me build a resume from start to finish, and I'll give you tips on how to do this along with me for yours.
In the 5 Hour Resume, I'll teach you how to handle these situations, and more.

While everyone can probably get some value out of this course, there are some things that it doesn't try to tackle in detail:
Those seeking government, academic, or non-profit roles
Those seeking Board of Director positions (there's a whole separate document called a Board Bio that you want for that one)
While this template and process will work for those with minimal
work experience, it's really best suited for people with at least ten
years of professional work experience.
