Get the Help You Need for Your Executive Job Search

Sometimes you don't need the whole program. Just an hour to help you get moving again.

That's where the Clarity Call comes in.

here's how others have benefited from their clarity calls

There's an unlimited number of topics we can cover in your one-hour call. Together, we'll set the agenda and make sure to get you "un-stuck" and on the path towards your dream job.

Check out these case studies on how people just like you have chosen to use their Clarity Call time. (Note: Names are changed to protect confidentiality.)

Sarah Case Study:

Fractional, Consultant, or full-time work

Sarah was stuck. She had been a successful Chief Marketing Officer for a large company, then transitioned to fractional work about a year ago. She was now feeling at a cross-roads. Should she stay with fractional work or go back into a full-time corporate role?

As we talked during the Clarity Call, Sarah shared that her last couple jobs had just "fallen in her lap" and she didn't know how to think about choosing her path forward.

She had a strong network, and had several job leads for both fractional and full-time work. It was time to make a decision. In the call, we talked through the pros and cons of each, and I asked a bunch of thought-provoking questions.

At the end of the call, she'd reached a decision:

"I hadn't really defined it before. But now I know what I'm going after. I know how to introduce myself at networking events and how to tell people what I want."

Denise Case Study:

set up a daily cadence

Denise hadn't job searched in more than a decade and was recently let go. She'd started reaching out to network, and had updated her resume, but wasn't sure what to do next. According to her, she wanted to "scale and kick start her search" in the next month.

We used her Clarity Call to dive into two things; first, we spent a couple minutes making sure her resume was in good shape, and then we used the remainder of the call to set up a daily operating cadence for her search going forward. It included specifics for her on what actions to do each day for maximum results.

Overall, she found the call "super, super helpful" and "took four pages of notes" in addition to the video recording I shared with her. She felt that she now had a plan on how to tackle the next couple months of job searching.

Brian Case Study:

prepare for a specific interview

Brian attended one of my recent Interview Prep Bootcamps (a week-long intensive workshop to prepare you for interviewing). After the class, he landed an interview for his dream job and wanted to make sure he aced the interview.

Before we met for the Clarity Call, he shared the job posting and the resume he used to apply with. I used those to prepare some mock interview questions for him.

We spent the first part of the call doing a quick mock interview, with real time feedback after each question. We focused on tightening up the stories and adjusting them slightly to make them more relevant for this specific role. He was also not sure how to showcase one particular skill needed for the role, so we built a story together to help him highlight his skills in that area.

He did the interview (and the subsequent ones), aced them, and got offered the job! He told me later that one of the biggest things the Clarity Call did for him was to help him be more confident going into the interview process.

Amanda Case Study:

Salary Negotiation

Amanda reached out when she was in the final interview stages with a company. She wanted help thinking about how to negotiate her offer. She felt underpaid at her prior company and wanted to ensure she didn't leave any money on the table in this new role.

We talked through how to position herself prior to getting the offer, and then how to evaluate the offer when it came through. She shared the written offer with me and I read through it to help answer any questions. In our call, I taught her specific wording and strategies to help her negotiate for pay increases and other benefits.

In the end, she was able to increase her base salary component by +12% and her variable comp by an additional 5%. She also successfully negotiated other one-time compensation (including bonuses) that made this new compensation package significantly better than her package at her previous company.

Scott Case Study:

Get More Interviews

Scott had been job searching for more than 4 months and had only landed one interview in that time. He wasn't sure what he was doing wrong and needed some help with his resume and how to position himself for certain roles.

We spent the first part of the call reviewing his existing resume, and talked through some small but impactful adjustments. We recorded the call and Scott was able to use the playback to help him as he updated his resume later.

We also talked through best practices for what to do when applying for roles (in addition to having a great resume). I shared some networking best practices and some ways for him to stand out from other applicants.

Scott put the suggestions into practice and got interviews with five different companies over the next two months and accepted an offer from one of them recently.
